Fighter Verses is a Scripture memory program from Truth78 to encourage believers to fight the fight of faith. That is precisely what the Apostle Paul charges us to do: “Fight the good fight of the faith! Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses” (1 Timothy 6:12). We use Fighter Verses as a church-wide Scripture memory plan. Each week there is a Bible verse or passage to memorize.
As we memorize Scripture, we help each other hide, store, and treasure God’s Word (Psalm 119:11), and we have it for when we need it. We help build up one another and strengthen our confidence and resolve to be pure. Being used as tools the Holy Spirit uses to guard us and grow us. We learn more about God and get closer to him.
Memorizing Scripture will lead you to a deeper understanding of God, your faith will strengthen, you will have better defense against temptation, you will be able to speak against false teaching, and you will know what to say to others. Our relationships will be stronger. And God will be glorified!
